I will forget you one day
Ok.so Ram is far from home..i mean he was already far from home..given his home is in Calicut and he was in Chennai...but now he is far from Chennai 2....he is in a small tiny miny place where his "branded" stomach refuses to digest the local food..he told me that even Lian (one of our very caring colleague/senior/friend) has allowed him to skip food...because the food is actually bad...i doubt whether the following poem is just an outcome of his empty stomach, occasionally filled with tender coconut???...anyways whatever...
he told me that he is again seeing rainbow in dark night sky (this once happened b4 and the result were a bunch of poems on love which i think i have published, may be or may be not..)..i wish he is ok...but then his insanity is the only sign of him being in his senses ...lol :D :D.....
he exclusively asked me to check out this poem when he seldom mentions about his writings in any of our conversation...its a silent Gmail affair ;)....he told me he is into "realistic sadness" (a poetic term coined by him?..may be who knows) and that the poem ll prove it....
now when i read this i am sure of two things...
first the realistic sadness is not a term coined by him..the poem is reallly a reality and sad...
second i know tender coconut has nothing to do with the poem...it has to do with a real person..sad as it may sound..but i know its no fiction...anyways sit back and enjoy...
The days of million emotions we shared
Discussing things of which we were scared
I will forget all these one day
Like the day fading into its dusk
Our promises will fade away into the dark
New relations and more people between us
Will make us shout to hear each other
Where once we heard each other`s heartbeat
Even when we were miles apart
Even if we never wanted it to happen
Life will go so busy for us
Leaving us less time time to turn back
And thus our past will fade away
Into mere dusted old tales of life
The same past were we celebrated our relation
Like a new beginning till the very end of our life
As the melting glaciers of the poles
It will be very slow, but still melting
Just like the way we came close
I will forget you one day
Place you in my shelves of past
Which I rarely or never go through
I will forget you one day
Just like the way we met one day

HAIKU and more Haiku
I should have posted this in march or so...those were the days me and RAM a.k.a KRIS were just mad about HAIKU....making every three lines fit the criteria of it...well this just took us to limerick and then a lot of Chinese ad Japanese poetry styles....
Sorry forgot to tell you what actually a Haiku is...
A haiku is basically a 5-7-5 syllable something poetry...or say lines..coz they don’t rhyme, and seldom contain any of the poetic devices, it’s simple presentation of a thing, moment or person. One more quality of Haiku is Kigo, a seasonal word, as Haiku is traditionally based on nature, and the use of Kigo is somewhat customary.
For further details refer the teachings on Haiku of Prats at WL or my personal blog
So here's his HAIKUs...

There is a fire ~~~ in and around me
Took me years and years to know
And smiles and tears to know
What ever I do to be alive
There is a fire,burning fire
I hid the pain in my eyes
And hoped tears would wash it
I locked myself in a dark room
Then I ran miles into the woods
I had a fire in me,buring fire
Never ending thirst to live
I saw me rising above the sun
To see the world beneath me
I went deep into the ocean
Drank water for my thrist
I saw me floating in the waves
Weightless but still burning
Then I went deep inside me
And asked myself about the fire
I lived talking to myself
To end the thrist and burinig fire
With fire still burining inside
Because now I know,there is a fire
Waiting for me,burning fire

Broken chair
Its a broken wooden chair Made centuries back
It has seen laughing angels Crying devils too
It broke its back leg And a cracked its seat too
Dont Sit on that wooden chair Its broken, centuries ago
Broke wen it saw devil laugh And crying angles too
People sat on it,played piano Nobody listened to its weep
It cried and asked for help
All listened to the symphonies
No one listened to help
Lords sat on it, and dukes too
Neither saw the crack in the leg Ministers came, peoples representatives
Decades past still noone came for help
History talk about leaders and greats
None of them saw the crack in the leg
One day chair broke its leg
When laughing devil sat on it
Crying angles left its seat
Seat too started cracking like the leg
Dont sit on that wooden chair
Its broken..
Waiting for a hero to fix it
Till then its a broken chair...

Girl at the Bus Stand
A special day in the crowded street
A lot of colors and a beating sun
Among the red white green I saw blue
After that in the crowd I saw only blue
As sun glowed in the vast blue sky
She just glowed in the light blue
She stood listening to her earphones
And I started to hear her music in my ears
Her eyes looked coffee brown in the sun
Blinking to the beat of my heart
She was the one for me,her eyes said
As I saw my reflection in her eyes
In the evening sunshine she stood
And me in bus caught in the traffic
As every second in the clock shot down
The pain of departure got me and my heart
With no aim I jumped out of my bus
As I just couldn't leave her there
As each bus passed the stop
Every time my heart skipped a beat
Eventually when she left me there alone
By that time I was nomore alone......

My First Step
First step I took was holing my mom`s hand
My first own step I fell tumbling down
Steps I took alone were never again perfect
Like the step I took holding my mom tight
Amazed watching the sky and stars I wandered
Those where the steps,I took with no aim
And for those aimless steps I had to down
And take small steps forward in shame
I tried to repeat those successful small steps
But failed as I lost trust of that guiding hand
I look ahead straight ,but my steps were scattered
And ended up in stepping into deep waters
I was slowly drowning into deep waters in tears
I saw a hand reaching out for me
Holding it tight, got out of the water
Took first steps out of the blackwaters
Held that hand to guide me walk again
And when I was about to run again
That hand held me tight from running
And controlled my steps towards perfection
Aimless steps slowly started to have direction
My steps were getting close to perfection
Holding that hand I took steps with a definite aim
And started to climb up the steps of fame
No longer my steps scattered everywhere
Because I walking holding that hand everywhere
And I walked rest of my life holding her hand
Her hand, which helped me repeat my very first step...
